UTOC is reputable as one of the leading steel fabricators and steel erectors in the plant construction sector. Our core business in steel structural works covers the area of cracking heaters, pipe rack and miscellaneous plant structures where we provide a full range services which include:

We use the latest technology in fabrication equipment to meet the demand of the construction industry. We are always looking for more efficiency and quality in our production lines. Besides the fabrication of steel beams and columns, we also specialize in miscellaneous steel works like stairs, railings, joists, platforms, deck, siding, etc.

By utilizing Tekla X-Steel, a 3D-detailing software, we are able to present to our clients 3D models of their structural plans and automate the production of shop drawings for steel structure fabrication

This comprehensive 3D modeling system encompasses built-in clashing, automated material listing, field bolt lists, and three-dimensional mark plans. It is instrumental in ensuring quality fabricated structures with exceptional high levels of tolerance and near perfect fit.

Just within the past three years, we have completed the erection of more than 2.500 tonnes of steel in the RAPID petrochemical plant. In February 2016, we begin the erection of one of the biggest cracking heater in Malaysia. The Rapid Cracking Heater, which consists of 6 units weighs over 15,000 ton and with a height 0f 60m. On the June 2018, we have successfully completed erection of the last unit of cracking heater. This is one of the UTOC Plant Construction's signature project!

Piping Works

Since 2016, UTOC had successfully undertaken a big piping scope in RAPID project that covers bill of quantity up to 120,000 diameter- inches.

Our piping team is well experienced in the fabrication, installation, modification, repairing and system testing works of various types of piping materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome molybdenum steel (alloy), aluminum, unplasticized and chlorinated PVC (U-PVC and C-PVC), fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), polypropylene (PP), high impact resist polyvinyl chloride (HIVP), polyvinylinden fluoride (PVDF) and Teflon-lined.

Our qualified welders are specifically designated to perform the various forms of welding such as manual tig, arc welding, semi-automatic welding, double-sided are welding and automatic submerged arc welding.

We also have performed numerous piping project at Singapore during the construction and expansion stage of many petro- chemical and pharmaceutical plants. Today we have the confidence to undertake piping project that has a bill of quantity of up to 300,000 diameter- inches and our workshop facility has the capability of manufacturing prefabricated pipework, custom or tailored components, and brackets and hangers as the client requested.

Mechanical & Equipment Works

UTOC is most recognized as a specialized contractor for equipment installation. Through the years of our operation, we are able to help many clients solve their problems of installing equipment positioned in very limited spaces or those with access limitations.

In addition, we are renowned worldwide for the installation of cracking furnace in ethylene plants. With sound knowledge of construction equipment utilization, we are also experienced in the usage of very large lifting cranes and heavy trailers.

Our experience team is also equipped to handle rotating machinery such as turbines, compressors, pumps, and blowers. Our skilled millwright has also exhibited the capability of performing very highly precise alignment of such equipment.
